I had a wonderful time photographing these three gorgeous kiddos! The day turned out to be a bit chilly and windy even though we are so close to summer... I was definitely not anticipating weather like that! The children were so great though and baby Blade was probably one of the calmest babies I have ever photographed especially considering the wind! Kami, I am so glad you chose me to photograph your beautiful family and your children are just lovely! I hope you enjoy your sneak peek!

it is not very often that I get to photograph another photographer! i was thrilled when Amber ( from Two Red Sisters Photography ) booked a session with me via the Little Rock Mommies fundraiser! Amber and her hubby were flippin' amazing and provided lots of laughs during our session! Amber it was quite the pleasure to meet you and I hope to work together again real soon... my camera really ♥s you!

*sigh* what can i say? this photo session was bittersweet...
my dear friend, diana and her family will be moving next week :(. now i have only gotten to know diana just recently ( i sing with her at ThatChurch in Sherwood ) and i feel just as close to her as some of my friends that i have known years... she is just that kind of gal! but alas... her family must relocate but i know that we will keep in touch, because i would be just CrAzY to not keep in touch with her! i snagged her this evening and got a little photo session in because i just had to before she moved! her little darlin', emily is just the sweetest and just this week told me " i love you jessica! " * tears * i am going to miss that little silly girl!
so even though i am sad to think of this as the first ( and last ) photo session with sweet emma lou and beautiful diana... i know that we will remain friends for many many years!

when jennifer contacted me for a maternity session she shared her story and truly touched my heart. jennifer is  graciously blessing a loving family with her baby. she shared that she wanted this session so that her baby will know how much she loves her and hopes that the images will show her daughter who she is and where she came from... i was instantly moved by her selflessness.
after our session, i was reminded of a beautiful song by alison krauss called "I Give You To His Heart", written about Moses in the Bible. it is a breath taking song and i wanted to share part of it with you
"I know our God will guide, protect and keep you.
Teach you faith and hold you by the heart.
Though your mother's heart is broken by your leaving,
her Father knows just who he is and who you are."

jennifer, i hope that we were able to capture your love for your unborn child and who you are as a person. i know that these images will be a part of both of your lives and i am honored to be a part of that connection.
i know that she will look at these images and see your beauty, your strength and your kind heart.
"You should be known for the beauty that comes from within, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is so precious to God." ~ 1Peter 3:4

"Winter came down to our home one night
Quietly pirouetting in on silvery-toed slippers of snow,
And we, we were children once again."

~Bill Morgan, Jr.

don't be afraid to schedule those sessions during the winter months! let's capture you and your family warm and cozy in the comfort of your home! these cold months do not have to seem so harsh, schedule your family session today and kiss those winter blues away!

Don't you just love her name?! I could say it all day :) Little Zarrah was such a delight to photograph, even though you think she cried a lot Mama! Both you and her are so photogenic :) I enjoyed meeting you both and hope to take some more photos of yall soon! Zarrah also modeled a few items from P*Pie's Fall line. The pink baby legs and the headbands will all be featured on P*Pie's website this September.

Before you ask... I just had to title this post " the ants go marching...." due to the fact that we were eaten alive by ants!!! The kiddos are fine but us mom's must have been wearing ant hormones... my poor little assistant Kensey was the first to encounter the buggers ( haha, i have always wanted to say that word! ) I hope that the little ones are ok, I am pretty sure Faith was taken care of propped on the blanket. Aside from the heat at 8am in the morning, which you would think not to be bad... and the ants and the humidity, we got some amazing shots and I am so happy that I got to feature my handmade items from P*Pie for our Fall 2010 Launch Sept 1st. The headbands, baby legs, hat and tie are all from our Fall line for babies and toddlers. Whitney, I hope you enjoy the sneak peek and I will be done with your gallery by Wednesday!

I had a terrific time with this cute family of three this morning! I was so worried that we would have to reschedule due to rain but we ended up having perfect weather for picture taking and the whole place to ourselves! I have been to the Old Mill a few times since we have lived here but I have never been when it was in full bloom... Oh My Goodness! It is so beautiful right now - if you have not been out there, now is the time to go! Nicki, I am so happy to have met you and your beautiful family and I look forward to getting together again :). I hope you enjoy your sneak peek!

I always have a great time when I get to photograph the adorable Savannah ( Savvy as I call her ;). She is oh so much fun and I always look forward to the post processing of the pictures because Lynsey is a close friend of mine and I know she does not mind me playing around and experimenting with new looks! I just think that some of the processing I did for particular pictures looks practically perfect, just like these two! I hope you enjoy Lynsey... I know you always do!
